CCTV Grants Program Applications Now Open

Applications have opened for this year’s round of the State Government CCTV Grants Program, designed to help reduce crime rates and improve community safety.

The Program was established in 2014 following the Labor Government's election commitment to allocate $2 million over four years for the installation of CCTV systems, security lighting and other related technology to improve safety in crime hotspots.

Local Governments in South Australia are eligible to apply and must be willing to match the grant dollar for dollar.

I believe that there are a number of areas in our community that would benefit from a security upgrade however, I am interested to hear the views of groups like yours who have a detailed knowledge of security needs in our local area.

I will use your feedback to lobby your local council to apply for funding through this Program.

You can let me know your views by filling out the below form, or by phoning my office on 8268 2680.

Further information on the CCTV Grants Program can be found at www.agd.sa.gov.au/cctvgrants.

Please note that applications close at 5:00pm, 16 October 2015.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts on how we can best improve safety and security in our local community.
